It's pomegranate season again! I absolutely adore these tart, sweet, bright red, little jewels. The best way I have found to remove the encased seeds is to cut the fruit in half through the width, hold it over a bowl with the rounded side facing you and whack the back with a wooden spoon. The little red gems fall right out. Be careful though, there can be a little over-spray and the juice produces a lovely pink stain. Enjoy!
