New York, New York

2/24/2011

First thing after arriving in NYC was to have lunch with one of my bff's, Milos.

Brunch at Public was amazing.  I had poached eggs with yuzu hollandaise and smoked salmon on toast, yummmmmmm.

Hubby, Chad had the Fry-Up of scrambled eggs, bacon, sourdough toast, slow roasted tomatoes and buttered mushrooms.

Sticky toffee pudding with Armagnac ice cream and hot caramel sauce.  We literally licked the plate clean!  There is a reason Public has a Michelin Star.

We worked off our brunch calories by walking around Soho.

A cozy little Irish pub with a wood burning fireplace to warm up.

Dinner at Braisserie Les Halles, one of Anthony Bourdain's restaurants.

I had Confit de Canard (crispy duck leg confit, frisée salad, and truffled potatoes) fa, bu, lous!

Chad had Planche de Grillades (lamb chop, hanger steak, merguez, steak, thick cut bacon-it was 1/2" thick and quite frankly one of the best things I have ever experienced, and pomme frites.

Walking around Times Square

More city adventures in the morning.

Washington Square Park

We had to go here for Sushi.

Sushi was good, but this place was bizarre.  They were playing Mexican music the whole time we were there.

We couldn't stop laughing long enough to take a picture!

Last morning in NY shopping at Urban Outfitters

HER yummy breakfast at Penelope.

It was so nice to see our good friends and spend time together without the children. But we missed them.  We even got to spend one more night as our flight was cancelled due to the ice storm in Indiana.  It is decided. We Love NY
