Thai it, you'll like it!
5/12/2015There really aren't many foods I don't enjoy. I was talking with a coworker earlier today about our likes and dislikes of foods and I discovered that there are few foods that I don't like. However, I do only like okra in its fried form and I have yet to try a raw oyster that I can say I have enjoyed. I just do not like them. I do really enjoy Thai food. Thai Chicken Basil is one of my favorites and its no wonder that it is one of the most ordered Thai dishes. Guess what? It's also super easy to make at home! It's what we will be having for dinner tonight in keeping with the Food Revolution campaign: It is healthy, quick and easy!
I haven't came up with my own recipe because I'm from the school of, "if it's not broken, don't fix it."
Here is the recipe that I go to. It is as traditional a recipe as you would receive if you ordered it for carry out. If you don't have oyster sauce, it's really no biggie. Just leave it out. or replace it with a little chicken stock mixed with cornstarch. You can also make it as spicy or not spicy as you like. That's the great thing about cooking yourself, you can make it exactly the way you like it!
